Youth Climate Ambassador
Pooja Tilvawala creates opportunities for youth globally to step into climate leadership. Her team directly supports 6,000+ youth per year with climate mental health resources, media training, AI literacy, access to global convenings, and a community of practice. They also research and encourage the adoption of intergenerational governance models, and build bridges between funders and youth-led climate organizations.
With degrees in Economics and International Studies, Pooja began her journey at the Meridian Institute working on cross-sector solutions for ocean policy, global plastic pollution, carbon markets, and river restoration. She then completed a number of fellowships, including with The Climate Initiative, Walking Softer, and Aspen Institute as she built and led Youth Climate Collaborative. Pooja also founded Jaali, an AI-powered platform connecting changemakers with funders, resources, and opportunities. In 2023, she co-founded the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion, which has led 300+ events to advance culture-based climate solutions and policies to support creatives.
She is currently an Arctic Basecamp Youth Ambassador.
