What happens in the Arctic doesn’t stay in the Arctic

A first for Arctic Basecamp and a first for Glastonbury
Arctic Basecamp were invited along with the University of Exeter to participate in the first Science Futures area at Glastonbury alongside world class climate and other scientists from Exeter and other academic institutions.
Highlights from this activation include:
• The formation of a partnership with Global Citizen who featured Arctic Basecamp before Glastonbury and reported from the festival itself, including supplying content for our social media channels
• Arctic Basecamp collaborated with BBC Studios Natural History Unit once again with two ‘in conversation’ with the producers of Frozen Planet, Blue Planet and Planet Earth
• Through BBC Studios we also secured Andy Day, a well-known BBC children’s TV presenter, who performed twice on the Laboratory Stage and is famous for his programmes (through BBC Studios) bringing science alive for pre-school children
